Welcome back me!!!

Ok so I haven't really been here for a while. For some ridiculous reason I decided that I would resume my accounting degree. It's all exciting and fun until you have some nazi lecturer telling me off for not handing my assignment on time. Geez I didn't react well to teachers in school in whose right mind did I think I was going to be any better now????

So apart from that we have had a lot on our plate. Our precious little bub....who is 3 and a half years old......had yet again another asthma attack. Her doc has now put her on almost triple her dose of preventer so hopefully we wont end up in hospital again. We are in the process of purchasing our new house which is so exciting. So after getting the all good from the bank I have not stopped thinking about new furniture, and childrens bedroom themes for Miss T's room. This will be the first place where she is going to have a decorated room. We have rented for the last 12 months and before that we live in our unit which we own but her room didn't have aircon and we couldn't really afford much. So now I have so many ideas going through my head.

I am still on the weight loss train waiting for it to depart. But saying no is a hard word to get out. Self control is a learned art.
Yum..

I need to lose 20kg before I try for baby number 2 so I will stop drinking beer as of tomorrow let me just chug this last one down. And I am going to be focused on my goal and my reward. I suppose I will have to exercise.....eeeekkkk that word tastes like vinegar coming out of my mouth. yuck.

Anyways Love ya and leave ya got to get off to bed.

The perfect little house on the Prairie!!!

Ok so this is definately not what my perfect house looks like...but I couldn't resist. It is probably an accurate picture of my 3 year old daughters dream house. I dare not ask her because it is 11:27pm and someone is wide awake watching "Mermaidia" for the hundreth time today.

We recently sold our 3 bedroom unit to my mum and pocketed a sweet 80,000. However with bills and bad money management on my behalf that figure has considerably dropped to about half. At the moment we are renting a beautiful house and we want to buy it however, I don't think the landlord wants to sell just yet if at all. Houses up here are so expensive for what they are. You are looking at an average of around $700,000 and you may need a new kitchen. How ridiculous is that. How can anybody afford to buy a house these days and still buy food. So I am up late thinking about budgets and spending. Where we can cut back and should we wait until I am working a bit more so we don't put any unnecessary stress on us.

We are also at looking at buying a boat because we both love fishing.....ok well I am not really on the love boat for fishing but I like sitting around on a boat. We can afford a boat if we decide not to do the house thing this year. I get that boats are just materialistic objects and a house is an investment but these are the options we have to weigh up.

In with the new, Out with the old......

I was watching The Circle on channel 10 the other day and they were talking about how the internet has taken over many everyday items such as the encyclopedia. I used to have A-Z when I was in high school. Now I bet if you ask a high school student these days they wouldn't even know what an encyclopedia is.
Remember the days when you couldn't look at the photo you had just taken until they got developed???......As I sit here thinking of the good ol' days I remember when I took my camera to school and it was taken from my backpack. I got it back later in the day. I dropped the film off at the chemist and was told to come back in a couple of days. When I went back to pick them up the lady told me that they had to take some of the photo's out because they were rude. I asked her what they were of and explained that I had lost my camera for a bit and she told me they were of "hairy bottoms and boys genitals." Now with a digital camera it is as simple as view and delete.

Sometimes technology is way ahead of me but I am learning. Yes ok I am still unsure of how to turn my ipod of and on properly. ( I just push all the buttons until it turns off).

What do you miss that technology has taken over???

Another birthday, another lolly bag and another big ol' headache!!!

So we are now back from the party. Pony rides, jumping castles, slushie machines with endless amounts of red and blue ice drinks (no vodka...damn) and one of the best cakes I have ever seen.

Now that we are home I think a much need nanna nap is on the cards for me.

Oh yeah before I forget this is my little princess on a pony ride.

Birthday Party Madness!!!!!

So I just want to say Thank Godness it is not Tayah's birthday yet. Apart from the fact that she would be 4 and that would freak me out because it seems like yesterday that I gained 35kg in a matter of months and had a little creature kicking the crap out of me. It is my niece Charlie's big day. She is 4. It starts at 11am and it is already 9:02am and I am not dressed, no present and blobbing infront of the computer with only my first coffee down. I need a second before I can think straight.

Well I best be off seeing now it is 10:15 and I am still not dressed, with out present and still in front of computer.

Toy Story 3

This is going to be a must see for all kids during the school holidays. As the first Toy Story was brought out during my childhood I am very excited about taking my daughter to see it at the cinema next week. This is the official trailer for the movie....enjoy....

The BEST playgough EVER!!!!!!!

1 cup of plain flour
1/2 cup of salt
1 tablespoon of cream of tarter
1 tablespoon oil - (canola, veg)
1 cup of boiling water
couple drops of food dye - your choice of colours

What to do:

So start with the dry ingredients in the mixing bowl.
Then add the oil, boiling water and food dye.
Mix together and then when a rough dough forms tip out on to bench and kneed until smooth and dye is mixed in.

Set aside for about 5 minutes then it is ready for play.

*Keep in snap lock bags or plastic containers. Will last up to a week.*

Also just buy the cheapest generic products.

HAVE FUN!!!!!!
